We know the changes to the Bus Stop distribution has been challenging for some of our families. We have made an adjustment, that we hope will help! Beginning next WEDNESDAY, April 21st, we will resume SIX bus stop locations once a week. HOWEVER, they will serve a large box (5 breakfasts and 5 lunches), along with a whole pizza for suppers (similar to the box we distribute before a long break). Current meal service (with the one bus/truck stop) will still occur on Monday, April 19th. Beginning Wednesday, April 21st, our new once/week bus distribution will begin. This will NOT effect regular meal service on Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays (12:00pm-1:00pm) at our school sites. CLICK ON THE HEADLINE to download flyers with more detailed information. Please reach out if you have any questions!
The Los Angeles Times asked Southern California students about their experiences during the pandemic. AUSD students from Mark Keppel High School and San Gabriel High School were part of this important feature. CLICK ON THE HEADLINE to read what Raven Ferrer & Kendall Tam (MKHS) and Emily Chen & Ryan Fung (SGHS) had to say about this past year. Congratulations to our MARCH GAME CHANGERS: Activate Arroyo (VAPA Teacher, Dance Teacher, and Director of the Dance Team and All Male Dance Team at Mark Keppel High School) and Eduardo (Eddie) Fernandez (Custodian at Emery Park School). Both of them will be recognized at the April 27th Board of Education meeting. We are currently accepting nominations for our April Game Changers. Nominate a deserving AUSD staff member by Friday, April 30th. Click on the headline to access the nomination form. Please be aware that, effective Monday, April 5th, meals will be served from 12:00pm until 1:00pm (instead of 1:30). Our "bus stop" locations will also be reduced to just one location: San Gabriel & Garvey. (Look for the big AUSD truck instead of a school bus.)
We are very excited to announce that our high school seniors will have IN-PERSON commencement ceremonies to celebrate their graduation!
