Community Questions for Board Meeting Staff Reports

The next Board of Education meeting will be on Tuesday, December 7th. These are the planned Staff Reports: (1) Update on the District COVID-19 Surveillance Testing Program, Vaccines & Instructional Impact, (2) Annual & Five-Year Developer Fee Report 2020-2021, and (3) First Interim Financial Report 2021-2022. If you have questions on any of these reports, please CLICK ON THE HEADLINE to submit your question. Staff and Board members will review the questions prior to the Board meeting to guide the report contents and follow-up discussion. This form will close on Monday, December 6th at noon.

Transition to New Board Election System

The Alhambra Unified School District plans to move from an "at-large" election system to a "by-trustee area" system. We invite you to participate in this important process by attending one or more of the scheduled public hearings.

Vaccination for Children Age 5+

AUSD is offering vaccinations opportunities for all AUSD students (age 5+) and their family members at four locations (Monterey Highlands, Park, and Ramona Schools). Please CLICK ON THE HEADLINE to download a copy of the letter that was sent to parents via Blackboard email. The letter has more details about COVID-19 vaccines for students. (11/11 Update: Due to staffing shortages at Fulgent Genetics, two of our clinics were combined. All appointments originally scheduled at Garfield School have been moved to Park School. AB 104 Grade Change Notification

Governor Gavin Newsom signed Assembly Bill 104 (Gonzalez) on July 1, 2021. The bill provides for a limited process to request that high school grades earned during the 2020-21 school year be changed from a letter grade to Pass or No Pass. This process applies only to students attending high school during the 2020-21 school year, and the process must be completed before August 16, 2021. Click here to view the notification.
